Milestone: 1 petabyte of storage in TSM
Last week Vancis reached the milestone of one petabyte of storage for clients.
The total amount of primary backup and archive data in Tivoli Storage Manager is now more than a petabyte. The primary part of this data is stored at the Amsterdam location. The copy pool (mirror) at our location in Almere is also more than a Petabyte. Almost 15 years ago, on December 18, 1995, the first data was stored on TSM. Today the average daily amount of data arriving is more than 20 terabyte.
