Vancis has combined the demands for remote online storage of a large number of institutions, and offers these users the advantages of scalability at good pricing.
Storage Area Network (SAN)
Equipment located at the Vancis datacenters can easily be connected to the Vancis Storage Area Network (SAN). This gives the user the flexibility of the Storage on Demand business model, as well as the performance of a high-end Fiberchannel SAN. This offers the opportunity of virtualized hosting environments.
The Storage on Demand solution has the following characteristics:
- a solid and safe (redundant) storage solution in collaboration with EMC2
- the solution is scalable with a pricing per GB (per month)
- option to use additional SAN I/O capacity depending on the application
- the solution can easily be implemented
- use of professional management procedures
- 7x24 active monitoring and incident handling
- if required, a backup facility is at hand in Vancis other datacenter
